The Big Question: Why is it important to learn proper keyboarding skills?

  • I can demonstrate proper computer posture by sitting up straight, feet flat, elbows in, wrists flat and fingers curved
  • I can use two hands and ten fingers when typing
  • I can use the home row as guide for where my fingers should be and which keys they are responsible for

Student Directions

Part 1 – Keyboarding Practice

Go to the Typing Pal website:

  • Login using your Student ID Number as both your Username & Password
  • Click the Red Learn tab at the top of the screen
  • Click on the Initial Test link, the icon is a paper airplane
  • Once you complete the Initial Test you many work on any of the exercises in Step 1
